Workforce Growth

  • NFCPM provides support to NACPM to conduct their annual Workforce Compensation Survey and their Preceptors and Students Talks report.

Quality Improvement

  • NFCPM supports the North American Registry of Midwives in their ongoing ment of a Quality Assurance Framework.

System Integration

  • NFCPM supports a project between NACPM and Step Up Together to bring Primary Maternity Care’s Action Collaboratives to communities across the United states. The program facilitates relationship building between community midwives, EMS, and hospitals by shepherding the entire system through a simulated birth transfer.

Scholarships and Grants

  • NFCPM provides grants and scholarships through the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives Bigger Table Initiatives where they have given nearly $100K to help with education expenses, testing and retesting fees, and initial licensing fees.

Advocacy

  • NFCPM supports the efforts of states and national organizations to educate legislators and consumers about Certified Professional Midwifery, the Midwives Model of Care, and the growing body of evidence that supports improved outcomes in community birth settings.

Research and Data Collection

  • NFCPM supports NACPM’s data collection efforts on existing legislation and policy that creates barriers to quality improvement in community birth care, system integration, and workforce development.
